DIY: Avocado, Banana, & Honey Face Mask

I've had skin issues since I can remember. I have rosacea, I break out a lot, and I have a ton of blackheads. I've tried many face washes, creams, and lotions -- anything you can think of that you'd find OTC. A few weeks ago, I started to realize that maybe what I put ON my skin is just as important as what goes IN. So I decided to experiment with some food masks. 

At first I was nervous to put food on my face - but then I realized I should be more comfortable with that then a bunch of chemicals, right? I did research about how to do this, what to avoid, etc, and I found some pretty intriguing stuff. There is a whole DIY world out there full of FOOD FACE MASKS!

I've tried a few, and so far, they are working SO MUCH BETTER than what I've been using my whole life. There are no chemicals, it's not harsh, it doesn't leave my skin red like the other stuff, and it all smells beautiful. Bonus perk: It's so much fun. I just blast some tunes, dance around and enjoy my half hour of Nicole time. 

My face has never looked so good in my entire life. I stopped wearing my normal liquid & powder foundation to give my skin a break, which I would normally be so embarassed to do. But after starting my new "food face" routine, my skin looks great and I have completely stopped with the foundations -- without losing an ounce of confidence.

Ingredients:

1/2 avocado, 1/2 banana, 1 TBSP honey --- then mash and mix it in a bowl until it's smooth, apply to a clean face, and leave for 20 minutes.
